There is a vast range of Burtons manufactured tops and bases, from standard consults to operating tables with positioners. We know that it can seem a daunting number of options, so let us guide you through the process, step-by-step, starting with building your list of requirements using the following considerations.

How mobile does it need to be?

Many prefer to opt for a mobile table that can be moved around the practice. Enabling you to get a patient ready in prep and easily wheel them into the operating theatre. This not only reduces the risk of disturbing a patient but means less heavy manoeuvring for practice staff.

What procedures will it be used for?

The base and top need to be taken into consideration when choosing a table for specific procedures. Do you need a table that is an all-rounder because you don't require as much accessibility as you would get with a table designed specifically for operations? Or do you need a specific tilting table with additional positioner attachments?

Which room will it be placed in?

If you are shopping for a table for a specific room, what are the top 3 specifications you need that table to have? Do you need it to be lead-lined so it can be used in an x-ray room? Or perhaps it's for an operating theatre where patient positioning is of the most importance, and therefore, a V-Top with an operating base would be the ideal choice.
