Intelligent Ventilation & VS+ Technology

At the core of the Veta 5 Plus are Mindray’s intelligent VS+ ventilation modes, engineered to enhance patient safety while supporting real-time clinical decision-making. By linking the ventilator with compatible Mindray patient monitors, including the uMEC12 and ePM12, the system continuously interprets respiratory parameters and responds dynamically to changes in patient condition. Seamless integration enables continuous assessment of ventilation effectiveness, with clear, staged alarms and automated adjustments applied within defined safety limits, ensuring clinical control always remains with your veterinary team.

Using real-time capnography, VS+ automatically adjusts ventilation settings to maintain effective respiration. This integration between monitoring and ventilation supports low-flow practices by reducing fresh gas flow (FGF) and anaesthetic agent (AG) usage, improving both efficiency and sustainability without compromising patient safety.

In support modes, the Veta 5 Plus observes spontaneous breathing and intervenes only when signs of compromise appear. Should ventilation needs increase, the system transitions smoothly to full mechanical support, delivering consistent performance throughout the anaesthetic procedure.

The system is supported by proven ventilator engineering. A bag-in-bellows design provides a constant, clear visual indication of ventilation performance, enabling rapid identification of leaks or disconnections, while independent fresh gas delivery and complete gas separation support safe, controlled anaesthesia throughout the procedure. An integrated turbine compressor supplies air to power the ventilator on demand, reducing dependence on external high-pressure air sources and allowing greater flexibility within the practice.
