    Mindray WATO-EX65 Veterinary Anaesthesia Workstation

The Mindray WATO- EX65 is an advanced all-in-one anaesthesia workstation with enhanced ventilation and respiratory support tools. It incorporates all the key features of the WATO-EX35, including high-performance ventilation, integrated patient monitoring, and intelligent feedback tools, while adding more advanced monitoring capabilities. These include a larger 12.1" touchscreen, advanced loop and waveform data, a lung recruitment tool, digital flowmeters, and additional ventilation modes.

Designed for more complex veterinary anaesthesia cases, the WATO 65 continuously monitors key respiratory parameters alongside advanced physiological data, using accurate capnography readings to help identify changes in patient status. This advanced data powers additional tools such as lung recruitment, which helps reopen collapsed alveoli, and the electronic flow optimiser, which guides clinicians in selecting the safest low-flow rates for each patient.

Building on Mindray's intelligent ventilation technology, the WATO 65 offers advanced veterinary-specific ventilation modes, including SIMV-VC, SIMV-PC, SIMV-VG and CPAP-PS. These modes provide the flexibility and control required for even the most advanced cases. Automatic compliance compensation, fresh gas compensation, and enhanced ventilation capabilities help ensure accurate delivery by working with the patient rather than against them.

To support efficient daily workflows, the workstation combines these capabilities with an intuitive 12.1" touchscreen interface that provides quick access to ventilation settings and monitoring data, while displaying all key parameters, waveforms, and loops on a single screen. The integrated heated breathing system further simplifies operation, minimises connection errors, and enables smooth transitions between manual and mechanical ventilation.

This workstation includes both O2 and Air flowmeters as standard, with an option at the time of purchase of O2 or Air as the ventilator driving gas. This choice is completely dependent on your practice setup and preferences.

Intelligent ventilation performance with 8 ventilation modes:

The WATO 65 offers a comprehensive suite of ventilation modes, from providing spontaneous breathing support through to more complex respiratory management requirements.

Volume Controlled Ventilation (VCV) provides full ventilation using delivered volume as the controlled factor.

Pressure-Controlled Ventilation (PCV) provides full ventilation using target pressure as the controlled factor.

Pressure Support (PS) assists spontaneous breathing by delivering a preset pressure.

Synchronised Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation – Volume control (SIMV-VC) delivers a set number of volume-controlled mandatory breaths, whilst synchronising with the patient to allow spontaneous breathing.

Synchronised Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation – Pressure control (SIMV-PC) delivers a set number of pressure-controlled mandatory breaths, whilst synchronising with the patient to allow spontaneous breathing.

Pressure Control Ventilation – Volume Guaranteed (PCV-VG) automatically adjusts pressure on a breath-by-breath basis to deliver a target tidal volume, ensuring set tidal volumes to avoid volutrauma, and limiting maximum pressures to avoid barotrauma.

Synchronised Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation – Volume Guaranteed (SIMV-VG) delivers a set number of volume-controlled mandatory breaths with a volume target pressure, whilst synchronising with the patient to allow spontaneous breathing.

Continuous Positive Airway Pressure with Pressure Support (CPAP-PS) maintains a constant positive airway pressure with optional pressure support, maintaining alveolar recruitment.

Advanced integrated monitoring with optional anaesthetic agent analysis

The system can be configured with additional integrated CO2 monitoring and anaesthetic agent analysis, via a simple plug-in module, providing clear visibility of respiratory performance and anaesthetic delivery.

The WATO 65 also features additional monitoring features as standard, including:

    Three Spirometry Loops:

Pressure Volume (P-V) Loop: curve used to assess compliance.

Flow Volume (F-V) Loop: curve used to identify flow limitation or obstruction.

Flow Pressure (F-P) Loop: curve tracking resistance changes during the breath cycle.

The workstation provides direct access to all available monitoring tools from a single display. Depending on the chosen configuration, users can view waveforms, spirometry loops, ventilation parameters, airway pressures, tidal and minute volumes, oxygen concentration, and optional agent monitoring in one place.

Smart Alarm technology delivers prioritised clinical alerts with clear visual guidance, enabling prompt identification of changes in patient status and supporting timely intervention when needed.

Here for the life of your equipment, Burtons proudly offers a complete aftercare solution for much of our equipment range Including Maintenance plans, Waste gas monitoring, Equipment Repair and Calibration.

Why is an Equipment Care Plan
The Right Thing for your Vital Equipment?

Planned preventative maintenance is your best defence against sudden failure of vital, frequently used equipment. Much of the equipment we see in practice today has been recycled and is of an age where failure of components is highly likely unless routine maintenance is carried out.

By regularly having your equipment serviced you are extending the life of your equipment and ensuring it is working to its full ability
