What will this webinar cover?

This webinar is suitable for vets and nurses with experience of using Merlin for volume cycling, who want a more in-depth understanding of mechanical ventilation, and wish to use Merlin for pressure cycling. 

The principles of pressure cycling will be explored and we will investigate when and why this approach might be used. The preparation and operation of Merlin in pressure cycling mode will be evaluated together with Merlin’s unique safety features. This webinar also examines the Merlin ventilator's Assist mode and addresses common challenges, such as “fighting the ventilator”. 

This in-depth exploration of pressure cycling will help veterinary professionals elevate their ventilation practices, fostering safer and more effective respiratory support for their patients.

*Karen Heskin has a background as a small animal GP and referral surgeon, making her the perfect candidate to tackle the day-to-day issues experienced in practice. She has a special interest in anaesthesia, including capnography, monitoring, ventilation and perioperative analgesia and is a key member of the Burtons Clinical team and Burtons Academy.
