Our new Burtons Avian cage can allow you to offer this increasingly popular service without effecting your regular business.
The Burtons Avian cage is more then just a cage, designed and manufactured exclusively by Burtons for the temporary housing of exotics species with negative pressure extraction, infra-red heating and ultra violet lighting built-in.
The careful design of the cage allows for a standard size bird cage to be placed directly inside without the riggers of removing/re-capturing the patient and allows the patient to remain in a familiar environment, reducing stress. The smart features of the cage greatly reduce the potential of pathogen transmissions from patient to patient, and lowers additional risks of zoonotic pathogens. (Face masks are recommended when opening the door).
Designed from the ground up, this product has been constructed from the latest technology WCB (Waterproof construction board) with 301 grade stainless steel, so you are guaranteed a quiet, low reflection, water resistant, anti-bacterial, long lasting safe place for your patient.
Key Features
Sliding doors for variable air changes – A sliding front cover to the door allows you to increase or decrease the flow of air into the cage and also reduces loss of heat. This has 3 options – One allows maximum air flow in and out of the cage, the 2nd halves the air flow and keeps the heat in and the 3rd leaves you with one hole for pumping in a source of oxygen such as use of a nebuliser.
Extraction – An extraction fan to the rear top of the cage allows any extracted air to be taken straight out of the practice, ensuring no other patients are effected.
Infra-Red Heating –Using the latest infra-red heating technology contact burns are a thing of the past. Providing heat directly to the patient through infra-red waves means you and your patients are safe whilst maintaining a required temperature within the cage.
UVB – Ultra violet lighting – More than just a light, this exotic specific light is essential for your patient, regulating the synthesis of Vitamin D3 in your patient skin and helping to maintain calcium levels.
Ease of use – This 24"W x 42"H x 26"D cage has been designed at the correct dimensions to fit a standard 600mm deep cage inside with no hassle.
What is WCB?
Waterproof construction board is made with a foam core of closed cell PVCU, with a solid PVC surface. It is non-toxic, formaldehydes free, non-porous, recycled, recyclable, resistant to bacteria and completely impervious to liquid.
What is Infra-Red heating?
A revolutionary infrared heating system which runs off a low voltage electrical current and is therefore very cheap to run. Rather than heating the air, it heats the particles by finding moisture, resulting in a more consistent and accurate temperature with a lot less wastage.

This product was designed and built by Burtons in the UK at our principle manufacturing facility in Maidstone, Kent Using the latest CNC’s and laser manufacturing processes and high quality stainless steel materials this product has been manufactured by our team from the ground up to last!

Installation
If it’s a single cage or a new practice setup the easy installation process is straight forward and fast. Once your happy with your order, all our cages are delivered pre-made and ready to go, but if you prefer why not take advantage of our in-house installation team, who can then arrange a suitable time to build your new bank, working with you to minimize disruption.
