About
Sam has been an RVN for over 15 years and graduated with a degree in Veterinary Nursing Science in 2008. Due to her passion for advanced nursing, she embarked on the Higher Education in Clinical Veterinary Nursing and RCVS Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. Sam has worked in large first opinion hospitals and for the last 12 years as a Head Nurse in referrals due to her passion to provide advanced anaesthesia, critical care and surgery for complicated and challenging cases.
Sam's interests lie in anaesthesia, surgical nursing, and diagnostic imaging. Sam has lectured nationally and internationally in surgical nursing, has co-written veterinary textbooks and published various journal articles.
In her spare time Sam spends time with her horses Charlie and Marmalade exploring the Wye Valley and has a rescue cat called Toby. She is a keen runner and enjoys Parkruns and ultramarathons.
